WCT工程在迪拜46亿令吉工程证实取消，导致今早股价大跌54仙，停牌前挂价1.29令吉，成交量逾1亿。
WCT was suspended this morning at 9:12am.
The company made an announcement at 9:19:10 am to Bursa that its 50:50 joint venture with Arabtec Construction L.L.C., has been given a 14-day notice by Meydan L.L.C. of Dubai, to cancel the contract relating to the construction of the Nad Al Sheba Dubai Racecourse Project. The contract is worth about RM 4.6 billion.
The stock came down to 1.50 on Dec 31, 2008 and jumped to 1.66 at the high on the first trading day of 2009 and further rose to 1.85 on Jan 5, 2009 to close at 1.83.
It opened at 1.67 this morning and went limit down to 1.29 and was suspended at 9:12 am.
Later, WCT issued a statement saying that JV completed 55% of contract for RM 4.6B Dubai racecourse project. Dispute claim from Meydan that project did not meet schedule.
